The story of Rainbow School starts in Germany. Chief Charles Morfaw was studying pedagogy at the University of Bonn when, in 1991, he succeeded his father as Chief of Bellah — a village in Fontem, Cameroon. In 1993 he married Morene Tazitabong, who was completing her own pedagogy studies in Cologne. Both knew, long before they graduated, that they would return home to Cameroon to build something lasting in education.
Their shared conviction was simple: "Our dream was and remains to have a school where both the children of the rich and the poor could study together in a good atmosphere."
After moving their family from Bonn to Dschang in August 2000, they chose the town deliberately: its climate, its university, its high birth rate — and the fact that it had no bilingual kindergarten or primary school at the time. Land was acquired, classrooms were built, and in September 2003, the first 93 pupils were admitted into Kindergarten 1, Kindergarten 2 and Primary 1.
In June 2009, Rainbow's founding class achieved 100% success at both the Government Common Entrance and the First School Leaving Certificate — with the highest number of children on the Honours List in the entire West Region of Cameroon. The class of 2010 repeated the same record exactly.
Rainbow began in Foreke, south of Dschang. When parents from the northern part of town came asking for a closer option — many unable to afford the 31,000 FCFA annual transport cost — Rainbow built a second campus at Foto. Later, Rainbow Integral College (RIC) opened as a day college, and RAIBICOL opened as the only pure boarding secondary school in the Menoua division.
Repeated 100% success at the Government Common Entrance and First School Leaving Certificate, with pupils from Foreke and Foto among the top performers in the West Region.
Strong GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level results, including repeated 100% Ordinary Level passes and high-scoring first positions at RAIBICOL.

My wife and I studied pedagogy in Germany and came home to build an education our community could trust. That promise still guides every classroom and every result we share with you.
